Beach Run shot entirely at my studio

I rarely shoot for editorials, however for this magazine cover I accepted the challenge. These are real athletes, the splashes are real but the beach is just a stock photo. There are three of them that I shot multiple times in various angles then everything was composed in photoshop. The splashes are from a diluted instant coffee placed on a big bowl then I asked my assistant to hit the coffee to make splashes.

We didn't have time to shoot it on location and besides why go to a location when you can do it at the studio.
